im new to Capoeira and i can already feel myself changing. when ever i go to class i get relaxed i was a very out person but im getting better.

I think whats kinda interesting is that ive found almost all capoeristas ive met have had their lives change in a positive way since starting capoeira, myself included.

It is very empowering and inspiring. And it really changes how you look at life.

So much wastedfighting each other. Fear mongers believe that we need armys, The path of warrior is an alternative. Imagine if everyone was raised as warrior, war would go away. I see our new Presidents move to close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp as a step in that direction, I hear his call to the attributes of warrior-ship when he talk to us the people. Cipo I love watching your son do Au and think of the promise of the future as he plants his feet, as you taught him, firmly on the floor and stands up.

Very nice, it is in fact very impressive how copoeira does help on a person's well being.

I'm a very young capoeirista and do practice many other sports have found in capoeira one of the best conditioning for many activities.

In my case as a cross training for snowboard have proven to be an excellent choice.

History of this planet shows us in many ways that we must preserve our indigenous Cultures at all costs. We must learn from history, do we need more dust bowls, Wars based on border disputes, medicines lost to deforestation and wise old chiefs, shamans and regular folks killed by bullies and greedy businessmen. When will men realize that this is the planet earth and we are all earthlings, we have to nurture our planet and us the inhabitants? Capoeira is the bridge to empowerment and peace.

It's hard to believe that we are in 2009 and there's still people killing for land.. it's obvious and clear who the land belongs to but seams that money still talks.. maybe everyone should take a look at the Amazon on (Google earth*).. there's not much left..

I would definitely agree. Capoeira has always been a struggle against oppression. I think its important to preserve the land for these peoples. Reminds me a little of indians of North America who have lost their land. Whats gonna happen to the peoples of Brazil?

When I read your blog I asked my self what does this have to do with capoeira? I guess the struggles of people today are (unfortunately ) the same as the ones of peoples of the past. How would you put it?

Very nice going. The blog is up and the news are coming, Thank you Professor Cipo for doing your part on awareness on import matters that most of the time passes unnoticed giving more power to the dark side.

And since I'm here as a side note, let me state for the record that it is really motivating to watch what this group brings to Capoeira.

Thanks for calling attention to this. So what is the latest? How did the vote go? I think about the butterfly effect and how not subtle the situations. (like the contrast in the 2 photos) Are the scientist finally on the right side or are we all still in doubt about our global consequences?
